9TH RMYC MARINE ART EXHIBITION & COMPETITION

The Royal Motor Yacht Club Broken Bay at 46 Prince Alfred Parade, Newport are holding the 9th Marine Art Exhibition and Competition and this year’s Show is themed “NAUTICAL NUANCES” which leaves plenty of scope for the artists’ imagination!
The Marine Art Exhibition will be held between Thursday 7th and Sunday 17th June 2012 from 10.00am and 5.00pm and last year had over 300 paintings on display.
Held on the shores of beautiful Pittwater it is the ideal setting for a Marine Art Show with the top floor function room’s fabulous backdrop of yachts and power boats. Artists get started on your painting/s (maximum 3 per artist). Entries for the Exhibition close on Friday 25th May 2012 and artists are to deliver their artwork on Saturday 2nd June 2012 between 9.00am and 3.00pm.
The theme must be maritime, in oil, watercolour or pastel, with a total prize pool this year of $4,725 offered by Sponsors, G Brothers Mercedes Benz Mona Vale, Moët & Chandon, The Royal Motor Yacht Club, Pittwater Council, Pittwater Life & Meredith Rasdall Visual Arts for all categories.
A special student category 10 to 13 years and 14 to 18 years also exists for our budding young marine artists, with the best entry in each divisions receiving $250 with a new ‘’Encouragement Award’’ donated by Meredith Rasdall Visual Arts – one term or Children’s Art Classes.
